Christopher Andrews worked on this project as a designer with the internationally renowned firm Solomon Architecture and Urban Design. The project creates a new neighborhood integrated into the adjacent urban fabric of Brewer's Hill, providing new places to live and work near downtown on the waterfront of the Milwaukee River. The block layout acknowledges the existing pattern of site ownership and utility access as well as responding to the areas that are restricted in excavation because of known or potential soil contamination. The range of scale of development opportunities on the site will help provide variety and a mix of building types in response to changing market conditions. |
